A year or so ago I saw the HN Motion web page. At the time 3k+ AU for their V1 motion sim? lol Scam. Way to cheap in comparison and I mostly forgot about it One day I finally saw a Youtube review on it and a review of the V2. I posted it up as an option for a mate jokingly and ended up watching the review to much.

A couple of conversations with Hugo later and buy now was clicked. 5k AU for the v2 but in comparison to the completion it still seemed to me to be a lot too good to be true.

5k AU is not a little money but for a motion sim that will lift not only this 130kg chunky racer but also my 160 profile rig with all the crap on it like it is nothing? I honestly I was not ruling scam out completely until I had it in my hands.

It is in my hands and is not a scam. It is some lovely chunky hardware.

I have had it for 55 days now it seems and easily a 100+ hours iRacing with the HN Motion V2. I could not be happier and while I watched lots of videos and thought I knew what I was getting into, it turns out I underestimated it.

I can report that I have had a way better experience with a 3DOF then I thought was possible. While the 3dof can't do surge or traction loss and can simulate it with pitch and roll and the BS is so good it puts a smile on my face every time.

There was a lot of tweaking in Simhub to get it just right for me but well worth it for the immersive experience. Also I can upgrade the 3dof but for now it is way better then expected.

I thought I had fun roaring across the mountain before in sim racing. Now with motion simulation the only thing I could think would be a better would be a real car and even then I think there will be problems firing that up at anytime of the day or night.

I am no expert and I have never had a motion sim before. All I can say is I have zero buyers remorse and I race more then ever. I do laps just for the pure pleasure of driving.

Of special note is that my mate who I was teasing at the start of this review is ordering his now as well and that is about the most honest review I can give.

BTW VR users. Look up Wit-Motion sensors (WT901C-485 9axis + USB adapter). Buy from the manufacturer. Cheap, about 50au to the door, takes a few weeks to arrive, beyond worth it for motion compensation.

Also I recommend the seatbelt mod. Look it up, worth it. I run 4 point harness all the time (anchored to the ground with a heavy pot plant!!) and while I thought it was a PITA to start with now it is part of the experience. Belt up, seat forward and waist belt goes tight, Motion on, shoulder belts tighten up and become active, huge grin.

It is not hard to install. Confusing at the beginning but Following the parameters and assembling instructions it is finally achieved

Hugo was a champ with every question/concern I had….. packaging and postage was lighting fast and the V1 system is awesome…. Super quiet, super neat and tidy…. Whilst a V2 would have wild, the V1 is an awesome entry point for me….. thanks so much

I only completed the install a few days ago because I was away when the kit was delivered, and I still need to spend some time dialling it in, but everything went together easily and the setup is neat - everything needed to install it was included.

I was surprised how easy it was to configure once the physical part of the installation was done; literally unplug and re-plug the Thanos4U's USB connection when Simhub was listening to set the COM port, and away it went.

I have never used another motion system, but the specs place the HN Motion V2 right up there with most of them on speed and response time, and in the higher end for travel and weight capacity, and it feels great.

I didn't think I could afford motion for my rig yet, until I came across this kit. Research suggested that there wasn't any point saving for longer and going for a more expensive system - all that may get you is smaller actuators and a smaller control box, but with that comes smaller travel. I like that the parts are industial quality and presumably readily available if I need to replace anything, and I'd far rather have 150mm of travel and use 50mm than be stuck with 50mm (or less) and wonder what more travel feels like and if I am missing out.

If you are looking for motion, especially if you are in Aus or (as I am) NZ, just buy this kit. There is no compromise that I have been able to identify; it really is just half the price of a lot of comparable systems for the same capability.

The HN V2 motion is excellent value for money, The Customer service is 2nd to none, it’s the best. I asked some tough questions during the purchase process and after and not once did they get angry or avoid , and they were very accommodating in my requests. I was overwhelmed when the boxes arrived but slowly opened them up and got familiar with the contents and after a week started the assembly, The cabinet rack was the hardest only because it takes time, other than that the process was very easy ,all wiring was labeled and straightforward, then after assembly, Started it up and everything just worked, the emersion is on another level. Awesome kit ! Great support to get it up and running ! I did have to drill the mounting brackets to oversize the bolt holes as they didn’t quite match but other than that it was easy to install and looks/works great.

Very happy with this product quality, packaging for transportation, and customer service at all stages of this purchase. Hugo provided responses to all queries within 24 hours, usually quicker, on a range of topics that helped inform my purchase of this system, compatible frames, and setup configuration. A very solid and quiet actuator set with the Thanos 4U controller setup in Simhub Motion very straightforward. I consider this very good value for a 4-actuator 3DOF kits based on my experience with this product quality and customer service.

I purchased the HN Motion 3DOF kit with traction loss a few months ago to take my flight simulation setup to the next level. I had a great time assembling the rig, and after using it for a few weeks now, I can confidently say it’s a fantastic piece of equipment.
The setup process was well supported by concise video tutorials and clear written documentation. That said, I’d suggest this kit is best suited to those who enjoy a bit of lateral thinking—but I suspect most people looking into motion platforms would be up for the challenge.
The unit’s motion is impressively responsive and fits my needs perfectly. It also runs quietly, which is a bonus.
As I’m based in Melbourne, and luck had it I lived nearby, a member of Hugo’s team personally dropped off the unit before a long weekend so I could get started—an exceptional level of customer service that’s rare these days. While not everyone should expect this, it really highlights their eagerness to support customers and go the extra mile.
Throughout the process, I reached out to Hugo via email for advice, and he consistently responded quickly with helpful information and practical solutions to the minor issues I encountered. I also purchased some extra parts to complete elements of the rig that weren’t included, and Hugo and I negotiated what I felt was a very fair price for items that can be a bit tricky to source on short notice—things like connectors and T-bolts, for example.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these products to any type of simmer—it’s the most fun I’ve had in years setting it up and using it.

Came across these and decided to take the plunge as the equivalent kits were north of $10k delivered. Happy to say I was surprised when set up just how precise and powerful they are and cant fault them or Johnson and his support late at night getting me set up step by step. Customer service 10/10 Product 10/10 delivery 10/10.
